Outfit: shirt- Anthropologie; skinnies- BDG; driving shoes- Steve Madden; sunnies- Rayban
Pictures from two weekends ago at the Bama game. I've been hoarding pictures.. again.. and sucking at keeping this blog up. I think it's safe to say, October is the craziest month of the year for me. This is my excuse for not keeping it up which has bothered me a lot this week. I had a great trip w/ my family last weekend. I have tons of pictures from it. Headed to New Orleans in the morning to party w/ these three crazies in the bottom picture. Sent baby bro (middle picture) home Monday after an amazing week w/ him. Can't wait to see him again for Thanksgiving. I'm super excited about Halloween in Nola though.... fun, friends, costumes, Panic, french market, hand granades (drink)... Sounds AWESOME, right? YEP.. It does. Gotta jet.. NOLAWEEN is waiting!!! What you gonna be for Halloween?

Buddy Holly Moment

"Woo-ee-oo I look just like Buddy Holly, Oh-Oh and you're Mary Tyler Moore. I don't care what they say about us anyway. I don't care about that."
Weezer

Outfit: dress and specs- Urban Outfitters; cropped blazer- H&M; tights- Express; shoes- F21; belt- vintage
I've got a ton of random pictures that I want to post. I've been hoarding them on my camera and computer for over a month.. Weird. I'm a procrastonator though. I get it honest. I was going to do a randomness blog post today. But, I really like this outfit. It was fun to wear. So, I decided to let it have its own post.
Baby Bro is in town. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon to roadtrip it up to Tennessee to kick some volunteer ass. Should be a good time. Times w/ Jere and I always are. Anyway, I'm hoping to take lots of crazy pictures on the trip. I'm also hoping to get the rest of my random hoarded pics up while relaxing on the RV (yes, RV, cool huh?). We'll see. I've come to realize, planning doesn't work well for me. The plans rarely work out the way I "planned." HA!
Anyway, hope everyone is having a lovely Tuesday evening. I am.
Thanks for reading!!!

Homecoming

"Sweet Home Alabama, where the skies are so blue, Sweet Home Alabama, Lord I'm coming home to you."

Outfit: skinnies- BDG; tee- H&M; cardi- Banana Republic; clogs- Sam Edelman; necklace- handmade; rings- handmade and vintage; sunnies- Ray Ban
This afternoon my trusty photographer and I switched up the scenery a bit. We went into Five Points to a cool little cobblestone street which is home to some really cool bars, the J. Clyde and the Blue Monkey. If you live in the area and haven't tried these places, you should check them out. Good times. Anyway, really exciting weekend for me. JERE IS COMING HOME!!!! I haven't seen my brother in two months! I can't wait to hug him and hang out for a week. We are going to the Bama game this Saturday and then on Wednesday we are leaving to go to Knoxville, TN to meet our parents for the Bama vs. Tenn game. It's going to be so much fun. Road trips with Jere are always badass. We talk the entire time. Radio doesn't even get turned on. LOVE IT! So, yea.... I'm floating as I wait for baby bro to arrive in town.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend whatever you do. Fall is my favorite time of year. There are football games and concerts to go to, beautiful changes in color and the smell of bonfires in the air from time to time. It's perfection!
Thank you sweet friends for reading!

Dog Days Are Over

Florence and the Machine rock my face! Just saying... Been jammin' to the "Lungs" album all day long.. Makin' me smile!

Outfit: cropped tee, glasses and knuckle ring- Urban Outfitters; chiffon skirt- American Apparel; other rings- vintage and handmade; boots- Faryl Robin
So, I brought the Nikon to work today and had my friend snap a few shots. I was feeling quirky as I got dressed this morning... I'm sure you can tell. Got my mom to pick up this skirt for me at American Apparel last month when she was in Philadelphia, helping my brother move. I saw it on ChicMuse and new immediately that I wanted one. I love chiffon and I love floor length skirts. Jere called and said "They have blue, black and khaki.. I mean Dickie's khaki." I, without hesitation, I want khaki. I'm still playing around with it. But, I like the cropped tee w/ it a lot and the glasses seemed necessary w/ such a random outfit. Wearing my grey boots for the second time this week. These will be in heavy rotation this Autumn/Winter. So, get ready to see them a lot. I'm glad to be doing an outfit post. I hope to get back into the routine soon.
I hope everyone is still having a lovely week. If not, you still have time to change that before the weekend. Thank you for reading!!!

Inspiration for Autumn

Here are some fun photos, mostly taken during NY and Paris fashion week, of different styles I am digging for the Autumn weather. I am always a fan of wearing black and skinny pants. In these photos, I like the blazers, chunky boots, funky bags, bright splashes of color and felted hats too. The beautiful beaded skirt w/ a black chunky sweater is AMAZING in the last photo. I'll be keeping my eyes open for a fun skirt like this for myself this season! The weather is finally cooling off a bit this week. I busted out my suede boots and sweaters for the first time! YAY!

The blog has been more and more sporadic lately. I've been so busy w/ other things that it has taken a backseat to those project. Plus, I lost my USB cord for my Sony cybershot.. It's my go-to camera. I'm hoping it pops up soon. If not, I'll have to really learn how to use the Nikon.. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Back to outfit posting soon.
Thanks for reading!!! Hope everyone is having a GREAT week.
