Blogger Street Style

I decided to post some pictures of some of my favorite bloggers today. They are all getting ready for Fall and I love what these ladies have come up with. Each picture has the girl's name and blog listed below it. Click on that info to get to her blog. These are all very stylish and pretty girls who have GREAT blogs! So, check them out and get inspired.... like me!

I love Karla's highwaisted See by Chloe jeans and the silky shirt helps make them more girly and very retro! She always inspires me with her love for color and patterns. She has an amazing collection of vintage and isn't afraid to be bold in her daily style choices.
Aimee always has an urban look w/ bohemian vibes. She's great at rocking hats and layers up her clothes so well. I love the over-the-knee socks and stacked shoes here w/ the amazing suede skirt. And.... like me she loves some super tall platform shoes.. that's something I can appreciate!

Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere
Emily- She's a beautiful So Cal girl who is so dainty and girly. I like that she layered up her tights w/ open-toe sandals here. She is also so good at taking a piece like this military style jacket and making it feminine as seen here w/ this beaded headband. I'd say Emily is probably the "girliest" of all the bloggers I follow and this girl knows how to accessorize. Betty from Le Blog de Betty
Betty is always perfectly androgynous! That may sound weird but she is and she has it down pat. I'm in LOVE w/ her Vivienne Westwood pirate boots! She's great at putting together simple outfits like soft oversized tees and skinny bf jeans w/ funky boots or hats or lots of jewelry. I also appreciate her love for solid colors and simple patterns :) Beth from B. Jones Style

Beth is a stylist for Quicksilver. So, she is right in the middle of trend spotting and setting. I check her out pretty often b/c she is always trying out something new w/ her style. Like here, a sleeveless blazer under a regular blazer... genius! She looks so classic and chic. Beth also has a love for vintage that she mixes nicely w/ Quicksilver clothes and other trendy pieces.
Chantal from Cocorosa

First of all, Chantal just has such a natural beauty about her. I love her porcelain skin. Her style most reminds me of my own from all of these girls. Though I find something in each of them that reminds me of me. Chantal seems to always have a laid back approach to fashion. She layers well and finds fun ways to use color, accessories, shoes, etc...

I hope you guys take a look at these girls and their blogs. They all inspire me in some way. I think they'll do the same for you. As Fall aproaches, I'm eager to see how trends evolve. I'm ready to dive right in w/ my oversized sweaters, boots, over-the-knee socks, scarves.... etc. etc. etc. This week the weather actually felt like Fall for a hot second too.

I hope everyone is having a lovely week. Thank you for reading!

My Platform is Shoes

"These boots are made for walkin' and that's just what they'll do. One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you...."
I decided to do a quick outfit post this afternoon. I went casual w/ lots of silver jewelry today. Over the weekend I purchased these platform "booties" at Forever 21. I like them a lot and have already gotten lots of compliments. When I saw them on Saturday, I decided they'd hold me over just fine until I decide on which ones I want to invest in from Solestruck. Still tossing around the Senso's or Sam Edelman's......
I hope everyone is having a great week so far!!! I'm doing quite alright myself. I hope it goes by fast b/c I'm planning to go see some great music this weekend! YAY!

Thanks for reading... Lots of love!

Sam vs. Senso

So, my black booties bit the dust last March. I'd had them for two or so years and wore them religiously throughout the Fall and Winter months. While on a bachelorette party weekend extravaganza, they made their final appearance. So, now I am trying to decide which new pair of black booties to buy... These are the top two picks!

Sam Edelman's ZOE boot

Senso's NEVE boot
Which pair would you get? I'm so torn. I wish I could do both. But, I must be reasonable here. I also need some new brown boots in my life. So, help me out here. Give me some feedback!
Get both pairs at Solestruck.com
I hope everyone is having a lovely day. Thanks for reading!

Too Gypsies

"Girls they want to have fun, oh, girls just a wanna have fun."

Jay and I a.k.a. The Gypsy Girls got together on Sunday and did a photo shoot. The first of many we hope! We got together to discuss plans for our store and to take photos of a few items. Really, we were just playing around and had LOTS of fun doing it!

Below is one of my favorite pictures from the day. It's like we're saying "We're done." We walked around our hometown and took some really cool pics. I was amazed at how many cool little spots there were to take pictures.
The two of us have been planning this store for over a year now. There are days that we feel hopeless and days we are filled with excitement. But, it's all coming together and we know it's going to be great. Everything is made with love. We both work hard and use our imaginations to the best of our abilites. We can't wait to share our creations with the world. We were wearing some of our pieces in the pictures (headband, earrings, necklaces). This is an exciting adventure for us. Who knows how it will all pan out. But, that's what adventures are all about. I'm so happy to be doing this with her. Jay is a brilliant woman who's creativity never ceases to amaze me. So, please stay tuned and check out our store when we bring it to you. I'll keep you posted through this blog. We have also created one for the store. But, want to work on it a little more before we introduce it to the public. :)
Thank you so much for reading!! Have a Grateful Day!!

Anthropologie meets Alabama football season

As I was perusing the new Anthropologie collection online today, I noticed several possible "game day" appropriate pieces for the ladies who attend the University of Alabama football games. If you have been to these games, you know what I mean. If you haven't, I'll try to break it down. Most ladies who either now attend UA or have attended UA like to dress up for the games. Some wear their favorite dresses or skirts whether they are Bama colors or not. Many wear some version of Crimson, red, grey, white, or houndstooth print. Houndstooth is the signature pattern for Alabama football and the signature colors are crimson, white and grey. These make for some lovely game day outfits. I am one of the ladies who still likes to wear cute dresses and outfits to the games even if I am an alumni. It's just fun (unless it's cold).
Here are some things I chose for Alabama football games from Anthropologie.
I love the dress above which would look so cute w/ a crimson or red belt substitute. Any variation of red or crimson accessories would be adorable (belt, shoes, clutch, headband)
The dress above is a little bright for Bama colors, but girls wear all sorts of red as I said above. This dress is precious w/ the bows and would look great w/ houndstooth accessories.

Both of these cardigans are so precious w/ their dainty details. Both would look adorable over a grey or black dress.

Below is one grey dress found on the site that I love for its simplicity. It's one that any Bama girl could spice up w/ her crimson and houndstooth shoes, bags, hats and jewelry.

I love this silky light grey blouse. I immediately pictured it w/ some crimson skinny jeans or cords and ballet flats. Simple, comfy and chic.
Okay.... So, I fell in LOVE with the skirt above. I saw it in the store the other day and had to walk away. I will be buying it at some point. It is the PERFECT Autumn skirt for Alabama football games. Thick material, good length, pretty pleats. PERFECT!

These are both pretty shirts that I thought would look nice tucked neatly into the perfect skirt shown above. They could also be paired w/ a grey skirt or trousers beautifully. Paired w/ pumps or flats any girl wearing them would be adorable! Both shirts are that deep beautiful crimson/wine color.

That's all for now. I love Alabama football. I love its traditions and my traditions that go w/ the game. I love that I'm an alumni and that football season was always the best season for me while attending school there. It's still one of my favorite times of year. I also love that each year it doesn't change. The ladies of the University of Alabama still love to look their best on game day. A tradition worth keeping if you ask me. Oh, and I love Anthropologie!
Thanks for reading friends!!

"I wanna tell you how it's gonna be, your gonna give your love to me. I'm gonna love you night and day, oh my love will not fade away."

Dress- Nom de Plume for UO; Booties- Faryl Robin; Sunnies- Rayban; Bag- Anthropologie

Hello Friends, I hope everyone has had a great week. I'm so excited about the weekend ahead. Not only is it Labor Day weekend, it's the start to Alabama football! I love to go back to my alumni school and cheer my favorite team and National Champs (just sayin) to victory. Tailgaiting, the sound of the crowd, cold beers, shakers, crimson and white everywhere... the tradition that is Alabama Football makes my heart flutter. It's an amazing season of fun and fellowship w/ friends and fellow fans. I can't wait!!!! Then, to wind down there's an extra day of relaxation on Labor Day. Pretty perfect, huh? I think so. How will you spend your weekend?

I hope everyone has a lovely and safe weekend. Thank you for reading.

Harpers Gone Rogue

Here are a few photos I found on FashionGoneRogue that were very inspiring to me for Fall 2010. I love the rich colors and fabrics of the clothes in these pictures. I'm also a HUGE fan of thigh high socks and chunky jewelry. I'd take anything from this campaign! If you haven't heard of FashionGoneRogue, it is a blog dedicated to fashion editorials and campaigns. You can go there and find so many amazing photos of fashion today. This particular photo shoot was done for Harpers Bazzar.
